Accessibility Help and Support

Commitment to Accessibility

The Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) is committed to providing equitable access to our digital services for all Coloradans. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website, and in doing so, we hope to provide better access to government information and services for everyone.

Our minimum baseline goal is to deliver an online experience that achieves “Level AA” conformance according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.1 (WCAG 2.1). However, our goal is to move beyond compliance and produce truly inclusive digital experiences, because we believe that accessibility is more than just the law, it is a basic human right.

Give Feedback or Report Issues

If you have thoughts on how we can improve digital accessibility at SIPA, we would love to hear from you. To request modifications, or to report inaccessible content, please reach out to SIPA through any of the following means:

Within three business days of receiving the issue/request, a SIPA staff member will reach out to discuss the problem.

Request for Accommodations

We encourage anyone to request reasonable accommodations that will improve meaningful access to government information and services. Specific examples may include but are not limited to:

  • Sign language interpreter or CART captioning services
  • Providing resources or information in an alternate format
  • Immediate remediation of inaccessible content
  • Access to assistive technology
  • Assistance with physical barriers
  • Extended usage of Colorado’s Aira system

Please reach out as soon as possible when requesting accommodation to allow adequate time for arrangements to be made.

After contacting SIPA, a staff member will reach out to you as soon as possible to discuss the request and begin exploring possible resolutions.

Accommodation requests are handled on a case-by-case basis with consideration for the time and resources available to process requests. SIPA will attempt to process all requests for accommodations within a timely manner, as availability of internal and third-party resources may allow.
